01Scope of these terms

These terms govern every course, session or service Ethanna provides to a student, or to the parent or guardian who enrols a minor. Enrolling, paying or attending any session means accepting these terms.

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian enrols, pays and accepts the terms on the child's behalf.

02Enrolment

  1. You enrol through learn.ethanna.com or directly with the Ethanna team on WhatsApp.
  2. Information required: first and last name, WhatsApp number, email, learning goal and current level.
  3. A seat is held only once payment is received and a photo of the receipt is sent. Until then the seat stays open to others.
  4. Your level is set by the placement test and confirmed by the teacher in the free consultation. Ethanna may move a student to a better-suited group before the start or during the first week.
  5. Ethanna may refuse or end an enrolment if the student's level, age group or behaviour does not suit the group.

03Prices and payment

The official prices are published on the programmes and prices page, which is the reference in every case.

  1. Payment is made in advance, before the first session of the paid period.
  2. Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, D17 / Mandat (Tunisian Post) and online card payment. The student sends a photo of the payment receipt after paying.
  3. Prices may change in the future. An enrolled student keeps their price until the end of the current unit and is told in writing before any increase applies to them.
  4. Bank transfer fees are paid by the student.
  5. If payment has not arrived before the first session, Ethanna may give the seat to another student.

04Schedule and teaching

  1. Classes are live and online on Google Meet. There are no pre-recorded or self-paced courses.
  2. Two sessions a week, two hours each, usually on weekday evenings (18:45 to 20:45 or 21:00 to 23:00, Tunisia time). Weekend groups depend on the cohort.
  3. IELTS programme: three sessions a week, two hours each. Private lessons: one-hour sessions at agreed times.
  4. Groups are small: 6 students at most per group. Private groups for a company are sized by agreement with the company, 8 people at most.
  5. A group's times, days or teacher may change; students are told in advance.
  6. If the minimum number to start a group is not reached, Ethanna may postpone the start or offer another group, and the student may ask for a full refund in that case.
  7. No sessions are held on public holidays unless the group agrees, and sessions that fall on a holiday are made up.

05Attendance and absence

Missed sessions are not made up. If a student misses a session, it counts as used: it is not refunded, made up or replaced.
  1. Session recordings are a separate paid service and are not included in the fee. A student who wants a session recorded asks for it and is told the fee at that time.
  2. If the teacher is absent or Ethanna cancels a session, that session is made up free of charge. A student never loses a session Ethanna did not deliver.
  3. Regular attendance is required, because progress depends on it. Repeated absence may mean repeating the unit.
  4. Arriving late does not extend the session.

06Recordings, materials and intellectual property

  1. All materials (PDF files, exercises, slides, tests and any purchased recording) belong to Ethanna and are provided for personal use only.
  2. Publishing, selling or sharing materials or recordings in any group or platform is forbidden and leads to the end of the enrolment without a refund.
  3. Ethanna may record sessions. Anyone who prefers not to appear can turn their camera off.
  4. Students may not record sessions themselves by any means, including screen recording.

07Level, assessment and certificate

  1. Progress is assessed through participation, homework, tests and the teacher's evaluation.
  2. A student who masters the content early may move up before the end of the unit; one who has not reached the required level may be asked to repeat it.
  3. An Ethanna certificate of completion is given to a student who finishes the unit and attends at least 80% of the sessions held during their enrolment. Management reviews every certificate before it is issued.
  4. The Ethanna certificate is a certificate of completion issued by Ethanna. It is not a Cambridge, IELTS or any other external certificate. Ethanna does not guarantee any exam result, job or visa.

08Conduct

  1. Respect for the teacher and the other students is required in every session and in the chat groups.
  2. Harassment, insults, discriminatory language, disrupting the session or sharing another student's data leads to immediate termination of the enrolment without a refund.
  3. Session time is for learning. Promoting, selling or recruiting students within the group is forbidden.

09Technical requirements and responsibility

  1. Students need a stable internet connection (5 to 10 Mbps), a Google account, a browser and a microphone or headset. A computer, tablet or phone can be used.
  2. The connection, device and power supply are the student's responsibility. A session missed because of the student's connection counts as an absence.
  3. If the problem is on Ethanna's or the teacher's side, the session is made up free of charge.

10Communication

  1. The official channel is WhatsApp at +216 93 758 949 and email at contact@ethanna.com. Ethanna does not accept enrolment or payment through any other number.
  2. Notices about schedules, payment and level changes are sent through this channel and count as delivered.

11Offers and referrals

  1. Discounts apply only during the announced period, to new payments, and cannot be combined with other offers unless stated.
  2. The referral programme rewards a student who brings a new enrolled student; Ethanna sets the reward and confirms it in writing at the time.

12Changes to these terms

Ethanna may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page on the day of payment. Significant changes are announced to enrolled students before they take effect.

13Liability

Ethanna commits to delivering sessions to professional standards. Ethanna is not responsible for an exam result or job opportunity, nor for damage caused by the student's device, connection or absence.

14Applicable law

These terms are governed by Tunisian law. Disputes are settled amicably wherever possible; otherwise the competent Tunisian courts have jurisdiction.
